Over the years, Metzler Forest Products (MFP) has received numerous recognitions, including owner Alan Metzler received an FRA Technical Writing Award for his article on “Cold Decking Chips.” MFP has been featured several times in various publications, including “TimberLine” Magazine. They are active in the Pennsylvania Forest Products Association (PFPA). Nate Metzler, General Manager, serves as a board member of the Pennsylvania Forest Products Association, and he’s the Vice-Chairman of the Keystone Wood Products Association (KWPA). Garin Peck, the Procurement and Estimating Manager for Metzler Forest Products, serves as the chairman of the board of Pennsylvania’s State Implementation Committee for their Sustainable Forestry Initiative. Jenkins stated, “Metzler Forest Products Company has been an important part of the forest industry and their community for over 35 years. Their core values are what sets them apart from other logging companies. Their professionalism, integrity, accountability, and innovation have been in the fabric of their company since the beginning.
