The West Virginia Forestry Association (WVFA) is currently seeking to fill our Executive Director position. WVFA was founded in 1952 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Association promotes the public interest of forestry within the state, while serving the needs of timber and wood producers, manufacturers, industry suppliers, and consumers in the economic, efficient, and widespread stewardship of timber and related resources through the free enterprise system.
The Executive Director is the chief operating officer and managing executive of the WVFA under the supervision of the President of the Association and works at the pleasure of the Board of Directors. The Executive Director provides strategic guidance to the Board of Directors, manages staff, programs, and initiatives of the organization, and provides leadership toward the achievement of the Association’s mission, goals, and objectives.

Resource Manager – Kane, PA

Reporting to the VP of Resources, this position provides the supervision, leadership, mentorship and oversight of the Resources Department in Kane, PA. This includes forest management, timber and log procurement, Oil, Gas & Mineral (OGM) management, log sales, maintenance of an expansive GIS database, annual forest inventory plots and inventory calculations.
The Collins Pennsylvania Forest (CPF) is comprised of 118,000 acres of primarily hardwood stands in northwestern Pennsylvania. The primary ownerships are Collins company lands (92,000 acres), Trust lands (23,000 acres), and Family lands (3,000 acres).

Operations/Inventory Forester – Fort Kent, ME

LandVest is looking for energetic, entrepreneurial, and dedicated professionals for an Operations/Inventory Forester position to serve our clients in northern Maine. The position can also include working to assist on other project work within the Division. Primarily, the position involves field work focused on road and harvest operations but will include inventory/cruising work as well. As the candidate gains or demonstrates experience, responsibilities will grow to include preparing forest management plans and maintaining existing client relationships. The position will report out of our Fort Kent and/or Ashland office with administrative support available from this location, and across the Maine region.
Fiber Buyer (PNW, WestRock)

WestRock is looking for a fiber buyer to join our Pacific Northwest, Forest Resources team to assist in aggressively managing fiber purchase requirements, supporting the overall region objectives to maintain the lowest cost, highest quality fiber sourcing in support of mill’s forecasted needs while maintaining the highest compliance with safety and environmental requirements. This Procurement role will work with external fiber suppliers to secure delivered volumes of pulpwood, chips and fuel to the Longview and Tacoma mill system to defined annual targets. The position will be expected to support team initiatives and provide strong customer service to our mill customers.
