FRA Receives Federal Funding through the USDA Wood Innovation Grant to Grow Workforce Program Nationwide

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that it has awarded $80 million in Wood Innovation Grants to support wood products manufacturing, active forest management, and rural economic development nationwide. Announced by Secretary Brooke L. Rollins, the initiative aligns with national priorities to boost domestic production, improve forest health, and strengthen rural economies. Among the recipients, the FRA received funding to expand its southern U.S. logging and wood supply chain training program nationwide—an effort that will directly support workforce development in timber-producing communities across the country.
