2024 Q2 FRA Resources

Published

FRA enhances overall operations and communications across the wood supply chain by publishing quarterly Technical Releases (TRs), Safety Alerts (SAs), and Spotlights on Safety (SOS).

Technical Releases (TRs) provide information about technical advancements, research, and programs in the forest industry.

Safety Alerts (SAs) provide information on safety incidents and recommendations for avoiding the actions that led to the unsafe event.

New this year, FRA’s Safety Alerts en español!
At FRA, our mission is to prioritize workplace safety across the industry.

  • The Hispanic population is the largest minority group in the U.S., with Spanish being the most common non-English language spoken in homes (around 62%).*
  • In the third quarter of 2023, the labor force participation rate for Hispanics was higher than the national average, at 67.2% compared to 62.9%.*
  • Nearly 60,000 Hispanics are employed in the Forest Products Industry.*

Given these statistics, it’s clear that bilingual safety alerts are increasingly important for ensuring the safety of our forest products value chain workforce.

This year, FRA introduces our Spotlight on Safety (SOS), which promotes best safety practices within the wood supply chain.
