June 2025 Safety Month Recap
In recognition of National Safety Month, FRA highlighted the importance of safety across the forest products supply chain. We hosted a safety-focused webinar, “Holding the Line: Leading Safety When It Matters Most,” presented by Tracie Gibbs, Director of Executive Operations and Safety at Rayonier. The session offered attendees a unique opportunity to ask real-time questions and engage directly with an experienced safety leader. We also continued our commitment to sharing safety-related resources by publishing our quarterly Safety Alerts and Spotlights on Safety. Throughout the month, we reinforced the message that safety is a shared responsibility—from the woods to the mill.

FRA Safety Webinar
In FRA’s June webinar, “Holding the Line: Leading Safety When It Matters Most,” Tracie Gibbs, Director of Executive Operations and Safety at Rayonier, shared practical strategies for maintaining a strong safety culture during challenging times. Drawing from her experience leading Rayonier’s transformation into a safety-first organization, Tracie emphasized the heightened risks of low employee engagement and offered actionable solutions—like empowering frontline workers, modeling safe behavior, and using downtime for targeted training. The session included a real-life case study, tools for implementation, and a call for every employee to take ownership of safety, regardless of their role or resources.
