FRA Emerging Leaders Program

FRA offers a valuable coaching service for emerging leaders. 2024 marks our third year offering the program, and we have received very positive feedback. FRA’s past President Deb Hawkinson is a Certified Professional Coach certified by the College of Executive Coaching. What drove her decision to become certified was her own experience of being coached and her desire to help others succeed.

While Deb is certified to help individuals at any level – from entry-level through executives – the coaching program is specifically offered to our emerging leaders. Our first session included individuals that participated in the September 2021 virtual advocacy day.

Coaching can help address challenges and attain professional goals, and it is an incredibly valuable experience.

Our Emerging Leaders program participants meet virtually once a month for four months, with the goal being to increase participants’ skillsets within their current roles and the industry, and develop more leaders within FRA’s membership.

Feedback from surveys to FRA emerging leaders has identified an interest in connecting with executives in our industry, and Deb will be coordinating with participants and FRA’s Executive Leadership on topics and guest speakers.

Each session will allow the participants to reflect and share any current topics or challenges they are facing. Participants would also be invited to participate in a one-on-one coaching session with Deb.
