FRA Southeastern Region

Southeastern

This FRA Region, managed by Rick Meyer and extending from Florida through eastern Virginia, is comprised of members who grow, harvest, transport, and/or consume fiber, primarily for delivery to sawmills, plywood plants, OSB mills, pulp and paper mills, and wood-energy facilities. Current issues of emphasis are trucking availability and trucking insurance issues, and logging capacity as it relates to wood fiber availability. The Region hosts a two-day Annual Meeting in the spring and a Southwide Timber Security Group Meeting in the fall. The Security Group Meeting location alternates every other year with FRA’s Southcentral Region.
