The Great Northern Paper Mill in Millinocket, Maine was once the largest and most productive pulp and paper mill in the world. Carved out of the forest, Millinocket was a prosperous community, with life centered around the mill.
I attended the Olympic Logging Conference this year in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia. The theme, “Families in the Forest,” really caused me to reflect on how families have interacted with the forest.
On March 21, the Forest Resources Association honored Bruce Hooker with its Southcentral Region Second Place Technical Writing Award for 2018. This annual Award recognizes the best Technical Releases published and posted on FRA’s website.
