The Department of Labor (DOL) announced on October 12 that the first half of the FY 2022 cap of 33,000 visas was reached on September 30. This is the earliest that the H-2B cap has been met and is six-weeks sooner than the FY 2021 first half visas.

The rates of mechanical defects and crashes of log trucks in the U.S. South will be compared to those in the U.S. Northeast, Lake States, and West.

FRA Issue Update - 10/1/21

The Pandemic Assistance for Timber Harvesters and Haulers (PATHH) application period ends on October 15, 2021. The PATHH program provides financial relief to timber harvesting and hauling businesses that experienced a 10% or greater loss of gross revenue in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
