FRA Issue Update - 3/27/20

FRA has set up a page on our website to provide information on the impact of the COVID-19 on the forest products industry. The site aims to provide information at the federal and state level on government actions that may impact the industry and will be frequently updated.

Charlie Edwards Recognized for Technical Writing

On March 11th, the Forest Resources Association’s Southcentral Region honored International Paper’s Charlie Edwards with its First Place Technical Writing Award for 2020.

Charlie Edwards Recognized for Technical Writing

On March 11th, the Forest Resources Association’s Southcentral Region honored International Paper’s Charlie Edwards with its First Place Technical Writing Award for 2020.
The Northeast Silviculture Institute Online version is now available at a 40% discount from the list price for accessing the training materials for FRA members (discount price is $47 for each two-day session instead of the list price of $79). This offer expires in August, 2020 and is being made because so many opportunities for foresters and others to get licensing / certification credits are being cancelled.

This course will cover both principles and applications of logging cost analysis techniques from the perspective of wood dealers, procurement foresters, and independent logging contractors. Course content will focus on methods for evaluating historic production and cost records within the context of the evolving wood supply chain.
